Way down deep in the land of Bongo-Bongo
Missionaries arrived
But were headed off in their show
The tribesmen had a tale to tell
Of events three-thousand years ago:

‘The great God Umbumtibiikus
‘Was born as one amongst us
‘Dying for our sins
‘Leaving his tale in our trust
‘Now it’s time to share with you
‘Save your tribe and whole world too’

The missionaries fell laughing
At this funny little show
‘These silly pygmy people
‘Oh what they don’t know
‘The world so vast
‘Beyond their grasp
‘As if the great creator God
‘Would choose the land of Bongo-Bongo!’
